Protection from Ransomware

Today, the latest variation of ransomware named Petya has hit hard. It's a modified version of the WannaCry / WannaCrypt exploit (compliments of the NSA) except this time the criminals have corrected previous weak points making the situation even more dire. They will demand around $400 to unlock your files, but even if you pay (don’t) you will not get your files unlocked.
